Ann is a member of The Guild of Master Crafstmen and is a qualified Stained Glass maker and Teacher. Following Art College in London, Ann worked as an illustrator and Graphic Designer for over ten years before turning to Stained Glass. Since moving to Devon in 1994, she has been teaching Stained Glass Adult Education classes throughout Devon and Somerset. She has also taught City and Guilds Stained Glass and runs courses throughout the summer. She has also run summer courses in France. Ann uses traditional methods such as lead, etching and glass paints which are fired to produce very individual work. She particularly enjoys making etched glass doors and windows. Her work has been installed at Chard Hospital, Somerset, as part of a community project. She has undertaken restoration work and created commissioned pieces in many private homes in South West England and Toronto, Canada. |

| Window panels, front doors, cupboard doors, transoms and room dividers can all be individually designed just for you, or they can be made to your very own design. Stained glass in the right position can add that special touch, bringing a beautiful display of light into a room, adding warmth and colour. Stained glass can also be an attractive way to hide unsightly things or to provide much needed privacy. | ||||||||||||
| Restoring glass is a special skill and can take longer than expected. Here (church window) I matched the glass and lead as well as the plaster work around the window. I pride myself on doing the complete job professionally. | ||||||||||||

These are particularly attractive in doors, windows, panels etc. where subdued light is wanted. It can provide gentle privacy while adding lovely pictures or patterns to a room. Etched designs work well for house or business names and house numbers. They can be made in traditional Victorian style or modern designs. |

| Painted
in the same fashion as Gothic Church windows. I use traditional Oxide paints and fire the glass in a kiln which makes the paints permanent. |

| An
out-patients group have produced a set of three windows for Chard Hospital.
They designed the windows, painted and leaded them before they were installed.
